Art in the Village
The 26th Annual Art is almost here!
Save the date to join us Sunday, June 23rd from 9am to 5pm for downtown Carlsbad's largest open air, outdoor art show.
Outdoor Art Show Featuring 130 Fine Artists
Held every Summer since 1998, the Carlsbad Village Association has hosted Art in the Village, a free, one-day, open-air art show, that features fine artists from all over the region. All artwork is juried and you can meet the artists in their booths the day of the event. Oil, watercolor, mixed media, digital, photography, glasswork, woodworking, jewelry, pottery, and more will be on display and for purchase.
Live Music
Music is integral to this iconic event, and we are excited to welcome new and returning musicians to the Ting Internet Stage in 2024. We will kick off the morning with the beautiful keyboard tunes of Jemille Vialet. Then, get ready for Jehlad Hickson and his five-piece band. Jehlad was a Golden Buzzer winner on America's Got Talent and a top semi-finalist too! The Ramblin’ Sweethearts are back again this year with their Rockabilly vibe and energy by popular demand!
Sidewalk musicians will play throughout the venue to add a delightful ambiance to this amazing one-day fine art show.
Cultural Arts Booth
The City of Carlsbad hosted the Pop Up Art (formerly Family Open Studios) art-making booth for children and art enthusiasts of all ages. The City’s Arts Education team helped guide interested artists in creating an abstract “glass-like” masterpiece with a colorful, layered, see-through artwork to bring home. Live music and a face painter was also there to add to the fun!

CVA’s Food, Beer and Wine garden is back and better than ever! We can't wait for you to taste and sip the amazing lineup of local purveyors we have in store for 2024. Stay tuned for a full list.

Ride Your Bike and Park in the Free Bike Valet
The City of Carlsbad offered a complimentary bike valet services for those attending Art in the Village. Operated by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, a bike valet is like a coat check for bikes.
A bike valet service ensures riders that their bicycles, e-bikes and accessories, like helmets, are safe while they enjoy the festivities. The bike coalition provided the bike corral for security, bike racks for bikes without kickstands and staff to provide bike check-in and check-out.
